Our full-day city tour of Old Dubai and Modern Dubai will give you the best experience of the city and its culture. Wake up to a good breakfast before going for a packed full day city tour that will take you through Old Dubai and the new Dubai. Dubai is a city that has a rich history, a rich culture and a very active social life. This tour will make you travel through time from the era of camel caravans to the time of luxury sports cars and learn how great structures narrate the story of Dubai’s growth.
Start your journey at the Al Fahidi area, one of the oldest residential neighborhoods in Dubai. Go to the Dubai Museum which is housed in the oldest structure in the city, the Al Fahidi Fort to get a glimpse of the city’s history. When you move across Dubai Creek, you will be able to view some of the best scenes of the city and proceed towards the Deira. Here you get off an Abra-water taxi and stroll through the small lanes of the covered souks of Deira. Visit the Spice Souk to feel the smell of spices and taste the sweets and then walk through the shining jewelry of the Gold Souk.
Go on with your tour along the Sheikh Zayed Road which is the main road of the city with some of the Dubai’s most famous towering buildings such as the Emirates Towers. It also runs through new developments like the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina much like the other highways. Observe the modern infrastructure of Dubai by noticing the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. The road has a section where the Dubai Water Canal passes through and this makes the road more attractive with the touch of water.
Go to Jumeirah Beach, a beautiful beach with powdery white sand located along the Persian Gulf coast. It is advisable to look at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, one of the most famous symbols of Dubai, rising in all its splendor in the middle of the sea.
Visit the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, an Arabian souk with a lot of local flair. Take a walk around the market with lights made of exquisite lanterns and carved wood and learn about the products ranging from spices, slippers, jewelry made by local artisans. More than 25 restaurants serve food from around the world; grab a coffee or a light lunch or dine under the historic charm of Old Dubai.
To get a different experience, it is recommended to take a Palm Monorail. This high rise experience provides stunning sights as you move from one end of the Palm Jumeirah, the largest artificial island in Dubai. This monorail starts at the Gateway station and is quite an exciting ride.
The Palm Islands which include Palm Jumeirah, Deira Island, and Palm Jebel Ali are one of the biggest examples of Dubai’s vision. These man made islands have been developed by Nakheel Properties and have changed the landscape of the coast and affected the environment. These are some of the engineering marvels and their beautiful settings.
Visit The Dubai Mall it is the largest mall in the world in terms of floor area, which has numerous shops, cafes, and attractions for an exciting shopping trip. For the adventurous you can get the adrenaline rush of standing at the top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure in the world for a view of the city. The tour to Burj Khalifa is not offered in this package and if you want to visit it, you have to pay for it separately. In the evening go to see the Dubai Fountain show outside the mall then go to your hotel for the night.

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
